Home Instruction (also known as "Home Schooling") Under NYS Education Law sections 3204(2) and 2110(2)(d), parents have the right to instruct their children at home. Guidelines and procedures have been outlined in Section 100.10 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education. Those can be found by clicking here. The first step when a parent decides to home school his/her child is to contact the Home School Coordinator, Ms. Jennifer D'Abbracci, at (607) 776-4123 ext. 3151. You will also want to write a letter stating your intentions and the date you intend to start. You will receive further directions from Ms. D'Abbracci once you submit your letter of intent. At any time, if you have questions regarding home instruction, please feel free to call Ms. D'Abbracci at the above number.
