Bath Area Family Resource Center

Welcome to the

BATH AREA FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

The Bath Area Family Resource Center (BAFRC) is a joint effort between the Bath Central School District, ProAction of Steuben and Yates, Inc., and other interested community groups.

The BAFRC is part of the Steuben Family Enrichment Collaborative, which is comprised of the Nonnie Hood Parent Resource Center (Corning), the Jennie Mose Family Resource Center (Addison), the Woodhull Community Family Resource Center (Woodhull), and the Family Development Program of Pro Action.  Together, the SFEC hopes to strengthen communities through offering parenting education in Steuben County.

BAFRC’s mission is: To build stronger families and communities in the Bath area by providing information, education, and support in an empowering environment.

The BAFRC envisions: A community where all children and families are strong and thriving.

The BAFRC is located in the Vernon E. Wightman Primary School across from the main office.

The BAFRC provides:

          1. A drop-in center.  Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are welcome to

drop-in WITH their child and play with the toys and activities provided.

         2. Special programming.  Classes, workshops, and family activities are offered

monthly on topics relating to parenting including, but not limited to, discipline,

conflict resolution, internet safety, sign language for babies, bullying, nutrition,

             and preparing children for school.
