Dear Parents, Students, Bath CSD Staff, and Community Members,
I am writing to introduce myself to you. Recently, Bath CSD and Steuben County were awarded a U.S. Department of Education Grant for the Integration of School and Mental Health Services. This grant will provide money to the District to support education and training activities for families, Bath CSD staff, and County employees and to help develop better linkages between school, mental health, and other County services.
For the next two years (until June 2011, the length of the grant), I will be serving as the Grant Program Manager. As such, I will be seeking input from parents and students, as well as from School and County employees, and other community members, on how to improve services. I will also be scheduling regular family education events and professional training workshops for involved Stakeholders. For instance, the grant team will be working with the Bath Area Family Resource Center (BAFRC) to schedule monthly events. We will also be hosting quarterly community forums, so that we can hear from you and update you on our progress towards meeting grant goals. Please see the News and Calendar sections of this website to find upcoming events for both families, teachers, and other service providers.
