Resources for Educators

In this section you will find information that may help to ease the busy lives of teachers. These resouces have been used by educators to help save time in the development of lessons, activities, and materials for students. Links to computer tutorials have also been included in this section.

	Atomic Learning is dedicated to providing educational resources that allow educators, students, and learners of all ages to embrace technology. Atomic Learning’s online training solutions answer “How do I do that?” questions through a library of thousands of short, easy-to-understand tutorial movies, and address “How do I apply that?” challenges through structured projects and workshops. All resources can be used as an integral part of technology support and professional development programs and as a valuable curriculum supplement. 	Khan Academy - A free world-class education for anyone anywhere. The Khan Academy is an organization on a mission. We're a not-for-profit with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone anywhere. All of the site's resources are available to anyone. It doesn't matter if you are a student, teacher, home-schooler, principal, adult returning to the classroom after 20 years, or a friendly alien just trying to get a leg up in earthly biology. 	WatchKnowLearn.org - WatchKnowLearn has indexed over 20,000 educational videos, placing them into a directory of over 3,000 categories. The videos are available without any registration or fees to teachers in the classroom and to students at home 24/7. Users can dive into our innovative directory or search for videos by subject and age level. Video titles, descriptions, age level information, and ratings are all edited for usefulness. Our Web site invites broad participation in a new kind of wiki system, guided by teachers. We have had a tremendously positive response from educators to the website. If we continue to work together, we can create an incredible, free, educational resource for students across the world.
	Thinkfinity - Verizon Thinkfinity offers comprehensive teaching and learning resources created by their content partners – which are some of the most respected organizations in each academic subject and literacy. The easy-to-navigate K-12 resources are grade-specific and are aligned with state and national standards.


	ThinkfinityNY is the State Education Partner for the rollout of Verizon Thinkfinity in New York State. Administered and directed by the New York Institute of Technology and the New York State Teacher Centers, the goals of ThinkfinityNY include communicating information about Thinkfinity, arranging trainings, tracking quality and progress against goals, and aligning Thinkfinity content with New York State Learning Standards. To date, over 29,000 NYS teachers and educators in community-based organizations have been trained in the use of the Thinkfinity resources and over 4,000 Thinkfinity lessons and resources have been aligned to New York State Learning Standards.

	SMART Exchange - Explore the SMART Exchange website to find, preview and download over 50,000 classroom-ready resources that can be used with a variety of classroom technology products. By joining this online community, you can quickly access subject-specific, standards-correlated content that can be modified to suit the needs of any classroom. You’ll also be able to connect with colleagues locally or around the world to exchange lessons, ideas, insights and classroom success stories. Membership is free, but you must sign up to get access.
