• In this section you will find a number of resources related to Distance Learning, Virtual Field Trips and Video Conferences.  The district presently has one fixed location for DL/VC connections, which is room 450 in the HS.  The room has stadium seating for 97 participants. The district also has a mobile DL/VC cart in each building which can be setup in virtually any space within the district.

There are many great video conferencing opportunities available for students. Video conferencing allows students to participate in a huge array of learning opportunities, from classroom collaborations to visiting museums, theaters and other onsite locations.  The skills students build when they participate in such opportunities are numerous, including such skills as communication skills, presentation skills, etc.

    The process...

    1. Do your research.  What are you looking for? A teacher led Internet-based exploration?  An online collaboration with an author, expert, or institution?  There are many opportunities that exist, but the process of selecting the best fit can be overwhelming.  Below you will find a few links to the most popular DL/VC resource databases.
    2. Once you have selected an activity, you will need to fill out the Distance Learning/Video Conference Request Form on the Bath CSD Today site.  The request will be automatically routed to your building administrator and technology services.  Upon approval, you will receive an email from either the Technology Services Department or Rene Carver, the DL Coordinator at GST BOCES with the next steps.
    3. After you have completed the activity, please go to the Bath CSD Today Site and complete the Distance Learning/Conference Feedback Form.  The information submitted will be published on the TIS page > Resources for Educators >  Distance Learning/Video Conferencing to assist other staff in evaluating resources.

Below you will find a list of sites that provide a wealth of information related to DL/VC.  The sites are excellent resources and offer a great starting point (click on the icon to navigate to the site):
