1:1 Teacher Aide
The work involves responsibility for assisting school teachers in the performance of their duties by performing a wide variety of non-professional tasks associated with the teaching process. The work is carried out in accordance with the strictly-defined procedures as assigned and directed by a certified teacher and involves relieving a teacher of that part of their duties, which while related to the teaching process, can be performed by non-certified personnel. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a certified teacher, but with some leeway allowed the incumbent for the exercise of independent judgment in the performance of those tasks, which are routine and/or clearly defined. Does related work as required.
