During the past five years, Bath Central School District has undertaken capital improvements in the form of renovations, construction projects and equipment upgrades to our schools, bus garage and athletic facilities. Following a comprehensive Building Condition Survey (BCS) conducted in early 2022, district administrators, faculty, staff, parents and community stakeholders identified new opportunities to support our vision of providing a safe, nurturing and experience-rich environment to address the challenges of an ever-changing future.
To fully prepare our students for the next generation of learning standards, encourage collaborative and engaging environments, sustain the integrity of our buildings and support diverse learning approaches, we will bring a $42,619,038 capital improvement project to vote on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. The project scope of work includes new security cameras, technology upgrades, exterior building repairs, lighting improvements, structural renovations, access security enhancements, ADA compliance upgrades, cooling unit replacements, facility infrastructure updates. This capital project is a prudent long-term investment in preserving our facilities, and we have an established plan in place to pay for the work in the most fiscally responsible manner. As a result, project improvements will bolster the educational, health and safety needs of our students with no additional tax impact on the residents in our community.
