Dear VEW Families, Students, and Staff,
As we wrap up another incredible school year at Vernon E. Wightman Primary School, we want to take a moment to celebrate all the joy, growth, and accomplishments we've shared together. From exciting classroom projects and spirited assemblies to heartwarming musical performances, field days, and meaningful community connections, this year has been nothing short of amazing. Our students have learned, laughed, and grown in ways that continue to inspire us every day.
To our students—you’ve shown resilience, kindness, and curiosity, and we are so proud of the effort you’ve put into your learning. To our dedicated staff—thank you for your tireless commitment to nurturing each child’s potential. And to our families and caregivers—your support, encouragement, and partnership have been essential to our success.
We also want to extend our warmest wishes to those who will not be returning to VEW in September—whether you're moving on to new schools, new communities, or entering a new chapter of life. You will always be part of the VEW family, and we wish you nothing but happiness and success on your journey ahead. Congratulations to our retirees: Mrs. Covert, Mrs. Jacobs, Mrs. Gelder, Mrs. Nussbaumer and Mr. Narby. Please come back and see us!
Looking ahead to September, please be on the lookout for important updates over the summer. As part of the Bath Central School District's transition to new start times and a unified bus run system, VEW families can expect revised schedules and procedures. We’ll make sure you have all the information you need well in advance to ensure a smooth start to the 2025–2026 school year.
Until then, we wish all of you a safe, joyful, and restful summer break. May it be filled with sunshine, laughter, and special memories.
With gratitude and best wishes,
